Just a reminder, next Saturday, May 30 is the STEM4UAS competition at the field. More info is available at http://www.stem4uas.net We will have well over 100 students, their parents and visitors at the field most of the day. The even starts at 7am and will run all day. I’d like to get an idea of how many volunteers we have, so please reply if you will be available. Even if it is just for a few hours, every little bit helps. We will need help with parking, lunch, registration, and then probably just general help as the day goes on with various things that may come up. Ideally, I’d like to get someone willing to take on any of those tasks and run with them so I don’t have to worry about them. Cooking lunch will be a big one, but the club gets the profits from lunch. Also, we need some additional equipment that some of the members may have. Specifically, generators. Even a large 5kw or larger that we could run a lot of stuff off of would be helpful, but smaller ones are useful as well. Anyone with EZ up canopies, please let me know, and bring those as well. We are planning to do some basic setup of the field on Friday evening around 5 for anyone that can make it. The large AMA trailer will be back on site as well as the AMA Education department.
